Colour Changing Lemonade

Crushed Ice Ingredients

12 Organic dried Butterfly Pea Flower

2 cups (500 ml) of hot Water

Lemonade Ingredients

1 cup of White Sugar

4 cups of Water

¾ cup of Lemon Juice


  1. Use 12 organic dried butterfly pea flowers.

  2. Pour hot water directly on the dried flowers inside the cup. Use a tea infuser as an option.

  3. Steep for 3-4 minutes. Remove the tea infuser or dried flowers.

  4. Wait until the water cools, pour the water into an ice cube tray and freeze the water.

  5. In a small sauce pan, combine the white sugar, water and lemon juice until the white sugar dissolves.

  6. Cool to room temperature, cover and refrigerate overnight.

  7. Crush the frozen ice cubes in a blender and add 1 cup of crushed ice into a cup.

  8. Pour in 1 cup of chilled lemonade and stir.

  9. Add another ½ cup of crushed ice.
